Christof Cargnelli
The sound artist, composer and musician Christof Cargnelli (1969-2013) made sound installations, sound architecture, work for the radio, live performances and intermedia art projects. The first years of his career, he worked closely with the artist Peter Szely, after he developed own projects but also numerous works with other musicians and artists, architects, Films, theater and exhibition organizers. An important influence for Cargnelli and Szely was the Swiss artist Andres Bosshard, a pioneer of sound architecture, which was the two young artists not only a mentor, but also an artistic partner. Throughout its 15-year collaboration Cargnelli / Szely participated in numerous exhibitions and music festivals. 2003 broke Christof Cargnelli and Peter Szely the artistic partnership and went separate ways.
