Something in the Air
Something in the Air transformiert den Klang der menschlichen Sprache in die haptische
Erfahrung von Luftbewegung. Die Aufnahme eines gesprochenen Textes wird auf den
Stromkreis der Steuerung von Lüftern übertragen und generiert so aus Worten Wind. Durch
das Geräusch der rotierenden Motoren und der zischenden Luft können die Phoneme
auch ohne Lautsprecher als flüsterende Schemen wahrgenommen werden und verweisen
so auf das Wesen der artikulierten Sprache im physikalischen Sinne.

They say sound is transmitted
through gases as longitudinal waves, compression waves
it requires a medium they say wind is the flow of gases on a large scale.
wind consists of the bulk movement of air
they say in an ideal gas of constant composition
the speed of sound depends only on temperature
not on the gas pressure or density they say wind is coming from a difference in air
pressure
